This will be my third installment for this topic. But in this case, the ingredients are random Magic cards. Each dish is prepared with four ingredients in a mystery basket as per the game show Chopped. The idea is to come up with a satisfying role-playing feast, or in other words, a coherent RPG adventure consisting of three "dishes" or scenarios. "Chopped: Magic Edition" is a relatively new creative exercise for me based on randomness and the Food Network. Main Table Die Roll: 74, Chopped: Magic Edition Next Post #4 (Working Title: "Chopped 3: The Revenge") If someone has already made a decent conversion, I will end up picking out another Al-Qadim adventure instead. For this post, I'll dig out the original magazine and check online. I've always wanted to convert (or at least revisit) "The Rose of Jumlat" from Dungeon #57. Topic Sub-table Die Roll : Module/Setting Main Table Die Roll: 81, Al-Qadim, D&D 5E Next Post #3 (Working Title: "The Rose of Jumlat")

I'll expand with a few of my own beasts, and we're good to go. Skimming through my campaign notes, I notice that the Desert of Dreams in Khauran has some nasty critters. Region Sub-table Die Roll : 12, Khauran/KhorajaĪnother monster! Fortunately, Hyboria is lousy with beasts. Main Table Die Roll: 57, Conan, Savage Worlds Next Post #2 (Working Title: "Desert of Dreams, Beasts of Nightmares")

Either way, it's a pure creative exercise that will take time and effort. So, using random Wikipedia article prompts, either I create the bare bones outline of an original setting or I create a monstrous creature which might suggest a world idea. This post will be challenging - currently, the Six of Cups is an undefined supers setting. The four suits represent different broad RPG genres: coins (science fiction), cups (supers), swords (horror), and wands (fantasy). Minor Arcana is one of my numerous side projects the idea is to present 56 brief settings for Savage Worlds, using the minor arcana cards of a tarot deck for color. Minor Arcana Sub-table Die Roll: 14, Cups (Supers)Ĭard Sub-table Die Roll: 6, Undefined Setting (Six of Cups) Main Table Die Roll: 24, Minor Arcana, Savage Worlds Next Post #1 (Working Title: "Six of Cups Monster") A little additional insight into this creative process: I decided to randomly generate topics for the next 5 posts so that you could see the evolution of my thinking: To that end I have constructed random die tables and used Wikipedia's random page feature to come up with unique and interesting combinations. The cards are fanmade, parody cards and are in no way attempting to be real MTG cards. As outlined in my first blog entry, I have embraced randomness to kick start new ideas for one of my favorite hobbies - roleplaying games. Please note: My cards are all handmade, so there are slight imperfections with each card. *The custom card will look only as nice as the image you provide, the larger the better!* :D For more sample photos of custom cards, please look up "Sophie, the Token Girl" on Facebook!.Will be shipped in a sleeve and top loader with tracking. The pictures shown are samples but are expected to be of the same quality.Made only for collection and parody purposes, they are twice as thick as real cards!.I start working on custom orders only after the payment is made, thank you for your understanding!.Please check all punctuation and spelling! I do not make any corrections.*I will crop to fit 1.36:1 aspect ratio - Landscape - Wide*Ĭard text and info can be sent through DM, Personalization Box or Note🐹 Image can only be sent through Direct Message 🐹OPTIONAL: Send me your card design or a finished card image made from Artificer, Cardsmith, MTG.Design, any Card Maker to have it made as is🐹 I do not come up with any text or images myself, I use the image and text provided and physically make your card.
